Sally Thomason

Believing that mainstream culture promotes a fear of aging and alienation from the wisdom of the body, Sally Thomason sees a crying need for a new view of aging. After retiring from Rhodes College as dean of Special Studies/Lifelong Learning and co-leader of the Institute for Executive Leadership, she earned a doctorate in Human Aging when she was in her late 60s. Through interviews with other older people, as well as her own experience with meditation and yoga, she became increasingly aware of the deep interconnections of body, mind and spirt and currently writes, lectures and teaches continuing education courses on understanding aging and the body from a holistic perspective.
