The
Rev. Dr. Raewynne J. Whiteley Ordained in the Diocese of Melbourne in the Anglican Church of Australia, Rev. Whiteley has also worked in the Dioceses of Sydney and Newcastle. Since coming to the US in 1998, she has served at Trinity Church in Princeton, NJ, and Trinity Cathedral in Trenton, NJ. Following the incidents of September 11, 2001, she became an unofficial chaplain for the Australian Consulate in New York. She also teaches introductory preaching at Princeton Theological Seminary. Rev. Whiteley's sermons have been published in Preaching 1 Corinthians 13 (Chalice Press, 2001), Abingdon Women's Preaching Annual, Series 2, Year A (Abingdon Press, 2001), and Preaching through the Year of Luke: Sermons That Work IX (Morehouse Publishing, 2000). She has also published articles in the areas of theology, liturgy, biblical studies and homiletics, and is currently working on a book on Preaching as a Spiritual Discipline. A native of Australia, Rev. Whiteley grew up hearing her brother's U2 records, and recently rediscovered their music; it has become a favorite source of reflection for her sermons and teaching. |
